Add or Drop Classes

You may only register if the registration holds on your record have been cleared and you are in good academic standing. Click the "View Holds" link at the bottom of the Registration/Add/Drop page to view holds on your record and for contact information of the office responsible for the administration and clearance of that hold.

You may only register on or after your registration appointment time. Please contact the Registration Help Line at 974-2000 if you have any question regarding your appointment time.

This page allows you to add or drop classes for the term you selected. If you are already registered for classes they will display in the "Class Registered Successfully" section. Courses may be added by entering the Course Reference Number (CRN) in the Add class section. (The CRN and other class schedule information can be found by conducting a Class Schedule Search . Except where the course drop option is not available, courses may be dropped by clicking the action arrow to drop the course.

When you are finished with all of your drop/adds, press the "Submit Changes" button to update your registration.

Explanation of Registration Errors and Messages

Level, Classification, Major or College Restrictions - The meeting of specific eligibility requirements is a prerequisite to course registration. Contact the department offering the course for information or to obtain an override.

Time Conflict - Course meeting time overlaps with a course section for which you are already registered. Click the class search button to verify meeting times or contact the department offering the course for an override.

Permit Required - Course requires an individual permit for registration. Contact the department offering the course for an electronic permit.

Duplicate Course - Course contains the same prefix and course number as a course for which you are already registered. Contact the department offering the course for a duplicate section override.

Closed Section - Course section is full. Click the class search button to find other available course sections, if any.

IM/MH Required - You have been placed on hold by Student Health Services for not meeting the Immunization and/or Medical History Form requirements which are prerequisites to on-campus course registration. Contact Student Health Services at 813-974-2331.

Co-Requisite Requirement - Course must be taken with another course (e.g. a lecture/lab combination). Click the class search button to find available linked sections or contact the department about the availability of linked section overrides.

Pre-Requisite Requirement - Course requires pre-requisite course(s) or test scores. Contact the department offering the course for additional information.

Repeat Course Surcharge - Florida Law requires state universities to monitor and charge undergraduate students the full cost of instruction for certain repeats of undergraduate courses.

Maximum Hours Exceeded - Some student statuses or academic programs limit the number of hours for which a student may register. Please contact your academic advisor for more information should this error message appear.
